Tidbits About Myself!

I have my Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Empire State in New Visual Media.

I have been married over 30 years and have 2 beautiful daughters, a teacher and a Marine Biology graduate.

I am a photographer. The only thing I am more passionate about than photography is my dogs.

My husband plays guitar, mandolin, trumpet and flugelhorn and has written numerous songs. I used to play electric bass with him.

We are currently living in North Carolina. We have about an acre and are surrounded by trees (including several plum trees!). Our girls love to play out there!

Welcome to the home of Lotus Chinese Cresteds!

“I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me they are the role model for being alive.” – Gilda Radner

I’ve always loved dogs, and I mean always.  The first book I remember reading was the AKC Guide to Dogs, which showed all the breeds, their standards and personality, everything you’d want to know about a particular breed.  I read it from front to back and came back to it often, assessing which dog I wanted to have when I grew up.  Chinese Cresteds weren’t in there.  AKC didn’t even recognize the breed until 1991, even though they have been seen since the 13th Century.

We had a beagle/fox terrier mix when I was a toddler and my parents raised and bred poodles when I was in my teens and early adulthood.  I’ve had many different breeds myself but out of all the dogs I’ve had the pleasure to meet, the Chinese Crested is my favorite.  They are beautiful, intelligent, comical and loyal, but most of all they are incredibly lovable, interactive dogs.   Many love to sing, some climb like monkeys and excel at agility, but every one that I’ve met must be right by your side, or at least close by, hence the nickname “velcro dog”.

My responsibility, as a Chinese Crested owner and a breeder, is to produce healthy, well-socialized, sound puppies.  My goal is to breed for conformation, health and temperament.

Enjoy your visit, check often for News and don’t hesitate to contact me with questions or feedback!
